About Oyinda
As a compassionate and culturally attuned mental health therapist, Oyinda is dedicated to helping adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life’s challenges and foster growth. Her approach is collaborative and holistic, rooted in creating a safe, empowering space where clients feel supported in their journey toward self-discovery and resilience. Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, she emphasizes self-compassion, healing, and strength-based practices that are practical and adaptable to each individual. She can also practice EMDR with consultation.
She is particularly passionate about exploring how culture, identity, and individual life experiences shape the therapeutic journey. Her focus on cultural humility and open dialogue allows her to honour each client’s unique background and worldview, fostering an environment of trust and understanding. By empowering clients to build tools for self-advocacy, resilience, and personal growth, she aims to meet each person where they are and support them as they move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
