About Millicent

Millicent’s path into social work and mental health is driven by her dedication to helping children and families build healthier, more secure lives. As a mother of three, she knows the challenges parents face and how important it is to have caring, professional support. Over the past decade, she has focused on child welfare, guiding families through the lasting effects of trauma, domestic violence, and intergenerational issues. By using play therapy, sensory-based interventions, and a client-centred style, Millicent tailors her approach to each family’s unique situation and needs. Additionally, Millicent specializes in perinatal mental health as she supports birthing individuals across their life span to achieve healing and wellness.

She aims to create a calm and trusting environment where everyone feels heard and understood—especially those who may have felt overlooked in the past. Her flexible availability, along with sliding-scale options, helps ensure that more families can access the support they deserve. Millicent’s warmth, empathy, and knack for breaking down complex information allow her to connect with children and parents alike. Above all, she strives to honour every family’s story, guiding them toward resilience, hope, and a brighter future.
